City of Sheffield hosted their annual No Frills Meet on the same weekend as the Glasgow International Meet and the final weekend of the NERs. As usual with our home gala we are reliant on the amazing generosity of the volunteers who help to ensure the Meet runs smoothly. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and to Joan Weatherington and Mick Budd for organising these helpers. Having announced on Saturday morning, I can say the meet ran extremely well and seemed to be a great success.

Here is a full list of all our medallists from the North East Region Champiionships.

Over the first May weekend, JO2 embarked to the seaside in Blackpool, but they were not there for the thrills of the rollercoasters of the Promenade. Twenty threeTeam Steel swimmers had entered the Blackpool Rocks swim meet, hoping to show their abilities and rock the competition.

The second round of the Barnsley Minors League took place on 12th May at Edlington. It was again a great performance from Team Steel taking the 1st spot, putting us in an awesome position at the half way point of the 4 BML rounds.

After the great performance from the Youth and Senior swimmers at the North East Regionals (NER) it was the turn of the Age group swimmers from Junior Elite and JO1. The NERs for the Age groups is divided into two weekends, both held in Leeds. Team Steel managed to impress with 7 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 16 bronze medals in total over the two weekends.
