Established in 1981 we are South Yorkshire’s premier competitive swimming club and train at the prestigious Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield. Our aim is to compete at the highest levels in the sport, and within our squads we have many International swimmers and National medallists. We also compete at district, county and regional levels, including various open meets through-out the year. We are an ASA Beacon Club and are regularly ranked in the top 10 clubs in Great Britain.

The second ASA English Nationals was held the week following the British Summer Championships at Ponds Forge between the 1st and 5th August and represented the final domestic meet of the year in which COSSS competed.

Twenty-five COSSS swimmers qualified to compete at the British Summer Nationals held at Ponds Forge and Rother Valley and by the end of the seven days of top competition, COSSS swimmers had won 26 medals and secured a further 31 finals places and set 37 personal best times.

The third running of COSSS Summer Meet drew clubs from all over the country for some high quality end of season long course racing. Many COSSS swimmers had targeted this meet for setting PBs before the summer break, and many stepped up in their performance in a fantastic (if very hot!) atmosphere.
